Shoe Construction.

The pressure was on in Shoe Construction from the very beginning.
Not only was it something I had never even remotely done before, I had to attend two classes nearly every week in order to have them completed 3 weeks before the hand in, to allow time for them to be soled.
Proudly I was one of the only students who managed to achieve this goal.
My shoes are mules, with a manipulated sculpted heel. They are play on the traditional but incorporating the modern through colour, embellishment and material. I used hair on calf skin for the material with a metallic silver for the inner sole. The embroidery acheieved was using orange and light blue to contrast with the deep navy base material. The oversized tongue reminds me of victorian shoe which works well with the other more modern ascetics
